US-based industrial technology provider ABB has streamlined its warranty request process for NEMA motor lines to enhance customer experience through improved visibility and control.
The Switzerland-headquartered company has simplified procedures for submitting and tracking warranty requests for ABB and ABB Baldor-Reliance NEMA motor lines. Customers can now submit warranty requests directly, with any ABB team member from district offices to sales and technical support able to assist with the process.
For customers, one login connects the entire user experience. Any customer registered with ABB Shop, Motor Connector, or other ABB e-commerce or service systems is already registered for the warranty claims system, providing single sign-on access across all services.
The simplified platform features one warranty landing page to create new requests or check status of open warranty claims, with step-by-step guidance allowing customers to request, view, and track warranty repairs quickly and easily. The simplified input process allows requestors to quickly select from most common warranty request types, whilst the status widget allows customers to follow tickets throughout entire processes.
A request checkbox option allows users to create PDF reports once claims are opened, providing visibility and tracking. All parties involved in claims including customers, district offices, and service shops receive status notifications for comprehensive accountability throughout resolution processes.
All ABB and ABB Baldor-Reliance motor products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials. Most products are covered for 12 months from installation date or 18 months from manufacture date, whichever occurs first, with some products carrying longer warranty periods.
