Acceleraate, a Manchester-based Zoom-first customer experience and AI transformation partner, has appointed Ryland Griffiths as chief customer officer. Griffiths joins after leading customer experience at JD Sports, one of the world's most recognised retail and sports fashion brands.

As CCO, Griffiths will lead Acceleraate's customer success, account growth and client transformation practice, working directly with organisations across public sector, healthcare, retail and enterprise. His remit centres on ensuring clients realise the full value of their Zoom CX investment.

"Ryland isn't just a great hire, he's someone we've known and respected for years," said James Wilson, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Acceleraate. "He's seen what great CX transformation looks like from the inside, he knows what it takes to deliver at scale, and he cares deeply about getting it right for customers."

"We build and deploy some genuinely impressive technology, but the real measure of success is whether it makes a difference for the people using it," said Ben Jemison, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Acceleraate. "He understands the tech, he understands the customer, and he knows how to connect the two in a way that actually moves the needle."

The structural driver behind the hire is the gap between deploying CX technology and proving it changes outcomes for the people using it, a challenge that increasingly shapes client retention as public sector and enterprise budgets tighten.

"I've watched Acceleraate grow from the other side of the fence, and I've seen first-hand what they're capable of," said Griffiths. "The technology is exceptional, but it's the way they approach transformation, with real pace and genuine care for the outcome, that sets them apart."

Acceleraate is a UK-based CX specialist with more than two decades of experience in cloud customer experience, contact centre and unified communications, working with clients including Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, Oxfordshire County Council, Buckinghamshire Council, TalkTalk Business and SharkNinja. Financial details such as turnover and EBITDA were not disclosed.

For the sector, the appointment reflects growing demand among UK public sector and enterprise buyers for CX partners who can pair Zoom-based technology deployment with senior retail-grade experience in running large-scale customer operations.
