Expedia Group B2B has introduced a new AI toolkit and expanded partner platform designed to help companies across any sector build integrated travel experiences for their customers, according to Business Wire.

Unveiled at the company's Explore '26 partner conference, the AI toolkit will roll out with select partners in the coming months. At its core is the Intelligent Experience Platform, a set of composable AI components enabling partners to launch branded travel experiences powered by Expedia Group's infrastructure. The platform currently serves 75,000 partners across industry verticals and 200,000 travel advisors, processing 21 billion API calls per day.

In a separate announcement, Expedia Group confirmed it has entered into an agreement to acquire CarTrawler, an Ireland-based B2B platform powering ground mobility solutions for leading travel brands. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to complete in the second half of 2026.

The acquisition follows Expedia Group's recent purchase of Tiqets, an Amsterdam-based activities and experiences platform, and advances the company's strategy to extend its Rapid API beyond lodging to include car hire, flights, activities and trip protection.

New merchandising capabilities were also announced for Rapid API partners, including a Merchandising API and enhancements to the Travel Media Network's AI-powered advertising portal.

Alfonso Paredes, President B2B and Chief Commercial Officer at Expedia Group, said: "Partners want growth, but they also want to know their brand and their customers are in safe hands."

Paredes added: "Today, we're helping partners sell more, serve better, and capture more of the trip."

Governance measures include a Responsible AI Council reviewing high-risk AI deployments, with the B2B platform currently handling more than seven million servicing calls annually across 25 languages.
