Porsche Centre South Lakes has deployed Mad Devs' Connect platform, integrating lead management, customer communications, documentation, compliance and reporting into a single digital retail system, with the dealership citing improved visibility across the customer journey and reduced administration as the primary outcomes.
Porsche Centre South Lakes is a Porsche franchised dealership based in Kendal, Cumbria, representing Porsche since 1957 and described as the oldest official Porsche Centre in the UK, serving customers across Cumbria, Lancashire and the North West. Revenue and EBITDA are not publicly disclosed.
Mad Devs is a Leeds-headquartered automotive software company, led by CEO David Boyce, which launched the Connect platform in August 2025. Mad Devs doubled its UK support team in December 2025 to service platform growth and achieved ISO/IEC 27001 cybersecurity certification following a six-figure investment; Group 1 Automotive is among its clients. Revenue and EBITDA are not publicly disclosed.
The structural driver is the omnichannel gap in premium automotive retail. Porsche buyers increasingly research, configure and initiate purchases online before arriving at a dealership, creating a split customer journey where information held digitally is not always visible to sales staff at the point of in-person engagement.
Connect's single-view architecture directly addresses that gap by giving dealership teams real-time context on each customer regardless of where in the journey that customer started. FCA Consumer Duty requirements, in force for motor retailers since 2023, have also increased compliance data management obligations, making integrated documentation and audit trail functionality a regulatory as well as operational requirement.
The Porsche franchise context is commercially relevant. Premium automotive retail operates on relatively low transaction volumes but extremely high per-transaction value and lifetime customer relationship stakes. The cost of a single lost sale or poor handover experience at a Porsche Centre is material in a way it would not be at a volume brand dealer, making CX infrastructure investment economically rational at smaller scale than in mainstream automotive retail.
For the sector, Mad Devs' rapid platform adoption, from launch in August 2025 to doubled support team by December and ISO certification by mid-2026, suggests Connect is accumulating the peer reference network that drives accelerated dealer adoption in a market where peer recommendation drives platform selection.
