Scandic Hotels Group AB has assumed operational management of 56 Dalata hotels across Ireland and the UK, including approximately 12,000 rooms. The management agreement, which began on November 7, 2025, follows a public offer by Pandox AB and Eiendomsspar AS and forms part of Scandic’s broader expansion strategy.
The deal positions Scandic to oversee daily operations and standardise processes across its newly integrated portfolio. A 4% management fee of revenues ensures steady income while supporting the transition. The arrangement also includes a carve-out of Dalata’s real estate business, expected to conclude by late 2026. Upon completion, Scandic plans a full acquisition of Dalata’s hotel operations for an estimated €500 million, strengthening its presence in two key European tourism markets.
The operational integration allows Scandic to leverage its experience in service management, focusing on improving guest interactions and overall customer satisfaction. Hotels in Dublin, Manchester, London, and other cities will continue serving business and leisure travellers, now with unified operational oversight aimed at enhancing service consistency and responsiveness.
Jens Mathiesen, President and CEO of Scandic, emphasised that the management agreement supports strategic growth and operational efficiency. “This partnership allows us to deliver a seamless experience for guests while supporting the continued success of the Dalata properties,” he said.
The transition is expected to benefit local economies and international visitors by streamlining operations, optimising staffing, and maintaining high service standards. Scandic intends to retain Dalata’s current management teams to ensure continuity and operational stability during the integration period.
Once the carve-out is finalised, Scandic’s €500 million investment will secure full control of Dalata’s hotel operations, providing a platform for future growth and innovation in the Irish and UK hospitality sectors.
