Irish-founded AI quality assurance platform Solidroad has secured USD 25 million (€23.75 million) in funding led by Hedosophia, with support from First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Sony Innovation Fund.

Founded in 2023 by Mark Hughes and Patrick Finlay, Solidroad builds AI system for customer support quality assurance that reviews all customer interactions across chat, email, phone, and video, enhancing customer experience through automated conversation analysis and coaching material generation by Vestbee Insights.

The platform processes conversations automatically to score performance and identify issues, having analysed millions of interactions to date. The system then turns those evaluations into coaching material and training simulations for agents, designed to reduce manual quality assurance work whilst handling large volumes of support conversations.

The system is used by companies including Ryanair, ŌURA, and Crypto.com. The San Francisco-based firm plans to use fresh capital to expand its team and strengthen its product as it scales AI-powered quality assurance platform for customer support, including building out presence in San Francisco and Dublin and enhancing system for evaluating customer interactions, generating insights, and delivering automated coaching.

The goal is to help companies improve support quality and consistency whilst reducing reliance on manual quality assurance as customer interaction volumes grow. The platform addresses challenges companies face maintaining consistent quality across scaled customer support operations through automated evaluation and continuous improvement capabilities.
